Current Vacancies
Maintenance Person x 2
(One with carpentry & roofing experience, and one with painting/plastering/general maintenance skills)
Due to the busy nature of maintenance, we are looking for people who can work efficiently (because this role is busy) without sacrificing standards.
Great customer service and the ability to communicate with our diverse range of customers are paramount as the successful candidates will be the faces of Orkney Maintenance.
Health & Safety is of great importance to us, so if you already have your site safe card that would be great (although this can be arranged) and as we use HazardCo to record our safety reports, the ability to work with apps is beneficial.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Carpenter/Roofer:
*Address more significant repair needs, such as replacing rotten weatherboards, repairing roof leaks, and other small building projects.
*Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: fixing doors, windows, and locks
*Undertake kitchen and bathroom demolitions and fit-outs without plans.
*Be willing to learn new skills and expand trade knowledge.
Plasterer/Painter:
*Plaster and paint areas from small patches to full rooms.
*Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: fixing doors, windows, and locks.
*Be willing to learn new skills and expand trade knowledge.
All Maintenance staff will:
*Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable codes, laws, and health and safety standards.
*Maintain accurate records of jobs carried out, materials used, and hours worked.
*Provide excellent service to tenants and property management companies.
